In an effort to limit the spread of the Novel Coronavirus COVID 19, the Boston Commuter service will be cancelled until further notice. We appreciate your patience and your understanding, and we will keep you informed of any further updates.
As a result of ongoing concerns for the health and safety of maintaining operations, as well as the recent decline in ridership, the Town’s Emergency Control Group (ECG) has decided to suspend Niagara-on-the-Lake Transit Service until further notice. Suspension is effective as of Thursday, April 9, 2020.
BC Transit continues to notify its riders that CUPE Local 561 operating under First Transit has increased job action and ceased service in the Agassiz-Harrison, Central Fraser Valley, Chilliwack and Hope transit systems. This service suspension remains in place until further notice, and impacts customers in the communities of Abbotsford, Agassiz-Harrison, Chilliwack, Hope, Mission and customers using the Fraser Valley Express.
handyDART service for customers requiring transportation to renal dialysis, cancer treatment and multiple sclerosis appointments in Abbotsford and Mission has been deemed essential and continues to operate during this service disruption. All other pre-booked trips will be notified of cancellation.
BC Transit is closely monitoring the situation and sincerely apologizes to customers for the inconvenience caused by this matter. We understand the frustration felt by customers, and that the job action is difficult for everyone involved in the region.
No Service due to Construction
Richmond Field Station Line No Service. Please use AC Transit Lines 51B and 52 to 4th Street District.
Update: Due to construction, Route 9 will use Cheyenne St between 400 South and 500 South in both directions. Stops at 400 South / Navajo St and Navajo St / 500 South will not be serviced. Regular stops will be available at 400 South / Cheyenne St and Navajo St / Arapahoe Ave. This detour will be in effect daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM through Friday, April 3, 2026. The downed powerline detour affecting Route 4 between Cheyenne St and Navajo St has ended. Buses have resumed the following detour:
Due to construction, Route 9 will temporarily not service the Navajo Street / 500 South (198634) southbound stop. There are temporary stops at 500 South / 1485 West for both directions.
The detour is expected to last 2 to 3 days.

The listed schedule in Transit app for the Downtown Looper is incomplete. The service operates every 15 minutes. Real-time information is displayed only for certain buses that arrive at each stop. Complete service schedules are posted at all Looper stops.
As of March 17, 2020, the MVRTA will be reducing service to and from Boston, until further notice. Only B1 & B6 will be running.
