In an effort to limit the spread of the Novel Coronavirus COVID 19, the Boston Commuter service will be cancelled until further notice. We appreciate your patience and your understanding, and we will keep you informed of any further updates.
As a result of ongoing concerns for the health and safety of maintaining operations, as well as the recent decline in ridership, the Town’s Emergency Control Group (ECG) has decided to suspend Niagara-on-the-Lake Transit Service until further notice. Suspension is effective as of Thursday, April 9, 2020.
BC Transit continues to notify its riders that CUPE Local 561 operating under First Transit has increased job action and ceased service in the Agassiz-Harrison, Central Fraser Valley, Chilliwack and Hope transit systems. This service suspension remains in place until further notice, and impacts customers in the communities of Abbotsford, Agassiz-Harrison, Chilliwack, Hope, Mission and customers using the Fraser Valley Express.
handyDART service for customers requiring transportation to renal dialysis, cancer treatment and multiple sclerosis appointments in Abbotsford and Mission has been deemed essential and continues to operate during this service disruption. All other pre-booked trips will be notified of cancellation.
BC Transit is closely monitoring the situation and sincerely apologizes to customers for the inconvenience caused by this matter. We understand the frustration felt by customers, and that the job action is difficult for everyone involved in the region.

Route 52 detour:
Northbound morning trips will service stop 2528 on Yonge Street at Mount Albert Road and turn right on eastbound Mount Albert Road. Northbound trips will turn left on Stonehill Boulevard, left on westbound Thompson Drive and service the temporary stop on Thompson Drive at Yonge Street. Detour will continue on Bradford Street, right on Olive Street, right on Dutch Settlers Court, and back to regular routing on northbound Yonge Street.
Stops 2541 and 2543 will be missed.
Southbound morning trips will follow regular routing to stop 2561 on Toll Road at Bradford Street, left on eastbound Bradford Street, service the temporary stop on Bradford Street at Olive Street, right on southbound Olive Street, continue on Queen Street, service the temporary stop on Queen Street at Yonge Street, continue eastbound on Mount Albert Road, and back to regular route to service Grist Mill Road.
Stops 2562 and 2523 will be missed.
Northbound afternoon trips will travel westbound on Mount Albert Road, service stop 2538 on Mount Albert Road at Stonehill Boulevard, right on northbound Stonehill Boulevard and left on westbound Thompson Drive. Detour will continue on Bradford Street, right on Olive Street, right on Dutch Settlers Court and back to regular routing on northbound Yonge Street.
Stops 2541 and 2543 will be missed.
Southbound afternoon trips will follow regular routing to stop 2561 on Toll Road at Bradford Street, left on eastbound Bradford Street, service the temporary stop on Bradford Street at Olive Street, right on Olive Street, continue on Queen Street, service the temporary stop on the southwest corner of Queen Street and Yonge Street and back to regular routing on southbound Yonge Street.
Stops 2562 and 2523 will be missed.

Afternoon buses will turn right on northbound Stonehill Boulevard, left on westbound Thompson Drive, continue on Bradford Street, right on Olive Street, right on Dutch Settlers Court and back to regular routing on northbound Yonge Street.
Stops 2539, 2540, 2541, 2543, 2562 and 2523 will be missed.

Route 52B will be on detour from its scheduled path west of Missouri Ave along W Bay Dr and north of W Bay Dr along Clearwater Largo Rd to Rosery Rd. Route 52A will still serve these stops. Route 52B will turn on Missouri Ave from W Bay Dr and will travel north until Jasper St where the route will resume its scheduled path.

The listed schedule in Transit app for the Downtown Looper is incomplete. The service operates every 15 minutes. Real-time information is displayed only for certain buses that arrive at each stop. Complete service schedules are posted at all Looper stops.
As of March 17, 2020, the MVRTA will be reducing service to and from Boston, until further notice. Only B1 & B6 will be running.

As part of ongoing infrastructure improvements at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, vehicle ferry service will be suspended from Thursday, April 2, 2026, through Tuesday, April 7, 2026, inclusive. Passenger ferry service will continue to operate under the Winter schedule during this period.
