Weather related service information Started Until Sat Jul 4 A heat warning from Environment Canada is in effect today for our service area. During prolonged periods of high heat, we are required to run trains at slower speeds. To ensure the safety of our customers and crew, slow orders are issued along the network. As a result, you may experience wait times of 30 minutes between UP Express trains between 13:45 and 15:15. Additionally, trains operating after 15:15 may arrive at their final destinations later than previously scheduled. Please stay well hydrated, drink plenty of water and bring enough for your entire trip as not all UP stations have food or beverage options available. Plan ahead and give yourself extra time for travel. We know that heat-related delays can be frustrating for customers, however we must take proactive measures to ensure the UP network operates safely in all kinds of weather conditions.Learn more about how high temperatures can affect our rails HERE and watch our video about heat patrols HERE.
