Planned work: Weekend works between Heidelberg and Hurstbridge Starts Fri Oct 2 Until Mon Oct 5
9pm Friday 2 October to 4am Monday 5 October To improve the safety and efficiency of Melbourne’s metropolitan rail network, critical safety works will be undertaken along the Hurstbridge Line. These critical safety works form part of Metro’s annual works program to maintain and renew the rail network. On behalf of the Ruthven Street, Macleod level crossing removal project, Metro Trains will be trimming overhanging branches along the rail corridor and in the station precinct and will remove one tree in decline in Rosanna Parklands. This will enable construction of the new rail bridge and new rail infrastructure. More information can be found here. What to expect: medium to high level construction noise during the set up and use of the heavy machinery rail grinding works that will cause a short-term immediate increase in noise once completed, that will decrease over time increased noise, dust and local traffic in the works area or the rail corridor traffic management in place, as required. Every effort will be made to carry out these works with respect for our valued neighbours. Works may be subject to change due to weather conditions and operational requirements.
