Buses replace trains between Bayswater and Belgrave from 8:30pm Monday 27 July to last train Monday 3 August, while project works take place. Allow extra travel time. 11.30pm Friday 8 May to last service Monday 3 August Trains will not stop at Boronia Station from 11.30pm Friday 8 May to last service Monday 3 August. A shuttle bus will operate between Bayswater, Boronia and Ferntree Gully stations to connect passengers to train services. Trains are back at Boronia Station from Tuesday 4 August.

11pm to 4am, Monday 3 August To improve the safety and efficiency of Melbourne’s metropolitan rail network, critical safety works will be undertaken along the Cranbourne Line. These critical safety works form part of Metro’s annual works program to maintain and renew the rail network. What to expect: medium to high level construction noise during the set up and use of the heavy machinery rail grinding works that will cause a short-term immediate increase in noise once completed, that will decrease over time increased noise, dust and local traffic in the works area or the rail corridor traffic management in place, as required. Every effort will be made to carry out these works with respect for our valued neighbours. Works may be subject to change due to weather conditions and operational requirements.

First service Tuesday 4 August Trains are back at Boronia Station from Tuesday, 4 August Station entrance is via Erica Avenue. Passengers can access the platforms by using the lift or stairs. A new waiting room and myki facilities are also available at the station. Works will continue in the coming months. The Boronia Station upgrade will be complete in Spring 2026.
