4am to 11.30pm, Saturday 21 June Saturday 21 June the Metro Tunnel project will begin a full day of trial operations on Melbourne’s rail network for the very first time. Due to these works the following will apply to services towards the City: All trains will end at Caulfield or Footscray, you will need to change trains to travel to the City. Staff at station entrances will hand out information about how to travel. PTV Journey Planner will show departure information only. Service changes and minutes to next train information, will not be available. Passenger information displays and announcements on the trains and some station platforms may reflect future Metro Tunnel destinations. At other station platforms, and for all green button next service announcements, the message will be to change trains. Next service information will not be available. Express services will operate from 6.30am to 9am and 4.30pm to 7pm. Passengers will need to pay careful attention to live announcements and station staff.
