Due to Road Work(El Cajon Pipeline Project), Route 864 Eastbound and Westbound will be on a detour and have multiple bus stop closures starting Monday, May 04, 2026 through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 8am to 3:30pm. The direction and affected bus stops are listed below.
864 Eastbound

Routes 115, 854 and 854X detour June 22nd to July 30th. 24 hours a day.
Due to construction all buses leaving Grossmont College will be on detour during these dates. No bus stops missed and no expected delays.

Due to construction at East County Square Walmart, stop 41158 will be temporarily closed 24 hours a day 7 days a week beginning June 1, 2026 through October 1, 2026. An A-Frame has been placed in front of the Dollar Tree at East County Square where passengers can board Route 838.
Every Thursday, North Park Way between 30th and Granada will be blocked due to the weekly North Park Farmers Market. During this event, Route 6 will detour between 12N and 8:30pm. No bus stops will be affected.
Due to Construction at East County Square Walmart, stop #41158 will be temporarily closed 24 Hrs. a day 7 days a week beginning June 1, 2026 through October 1, 2026. A-Frame has been placed in front of the dollar tree at East County Square where passengers can Board and De Board Route 864.
Route 280/290 Northbound & Southbound June 23rd to June 30th. Due to Into The Horizon Music 2026. Ash St terminal will be closed 24 hours a day during these dates. Please use Pacific Hwy & Grape St to make connection with the Northbound 280/290.
Southbound 280/290 last stop will be at the A frame on Pacific Hwy & Beach St.
Due to the 8th Annual Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival, the route 6 will be on detour on Sunday June 28th from 6:00am-6:00pm. North Park Way will be closed from 30th St to Granada Ave, as a result the eastbound route 6 will be on detour. No bus stops will be missed.
