Due to the Hillcrest Farmers Market University Avenue will be closed in both directions from Herbert St to Park Bl every Sunday from 5:00am-5:30pm starting on 1/26 to 12/28. As a result, the route 11 will be on detour and the eastbound route 11 stop on University Ave at Herbert St (#10494) and the westbound route 11 stops on University Ave at Normal St (#10865), University Ave at Richmond St (#10862), University Ave at Vermont St (#11254) will be closed. Passengers are advised to board the eastbound route 11 on University Ave at Richmond St (#10114) or at Park Bl at University Ave (#12804) and the westbound route 11 on Park Bl at University Ave (#11675) or University Ave at 9th Ave (#10854).
Due to Road Work(El Cajon Pipeline Project), Route 864 Eastbound and Westbound will be on a detour and have multiple bus stop closures starting Monday, May 04, 2026 through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 8am to 3:30pm. The direction and affected bus stops are listed below.

Due to construction, the routes 1,10 & 11 bus stop located at westbound University Av & Vermont St (#11254), will be closed 10/22/25 - 07/31/26 (24/7).
Passengers are advised to catch all routes at University Av & 9th Av.
Due to the Rock N Roll Marathon on Sunday May 31st the route 11 will continue on detour until 9:00pm due to heavy traffic around the area and Ash St being closed due to cleanup. As a result; the southbound route 11 bus stops on 2nd Ave at Beech St (#11640), 2nd Ave at Ash St (#11639), Front St at B St (#12012), Front St & Broadway Ave (#99039), Front St at F St (#96010) and the northbound route 11 stops on 1st Ave at G St (#12750), 1st Ave at Broadway Ave (#99118), 1st Ave at C St (#60548) and 1st Ave at Ash St (#12411) will be closed. Passengers can board at 1st Ave at Elm St (#12753) or 2nd Ave at Fir St (#11641).
Due to the annual Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on Sunday, May 31st, there will be major service interruptions in the Downtown, Uptown (Hillcrest, Bankers Hill, University Heights), North Park, Normal Heights, Morena, Linda Vista, Bay Park and Mission Valley communities. The following MTS bus routes will be impacted:
1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 20, 30, 41, 44, 105, 120, 928, 215, 225, 235, 992

Due to Rock N Roll Marathon Setup and closure of Ash St between 2nd and Kettner, the Route 11 will be on detour in both directions on 5/30/2026 from 6:30am - 11:30pm. In total, 3 bus stops will be closed during this detour. Southbound bus stops on Front @ 'B' St (ID# 12012) and Front @ F St (ID# 96010) and northbound bus stop on 1st @ Ash (ID# 12411) will be closed. Passengers' area advised to connect with the northbound Route 11 on 1st Ave at 'C' St or 1st Ave @ Elm St.
