The National Park Service is enforcing vehicle restrictions prohibiting motorcoaches from traveling northbound and southbound on I-295 to/from Route 175 and Washington, D.C.
Due to these restrictions, motorcoach carriers must instead use Route 50 or Route 201 (Kenilworth Avenue). Commuter Bus routes 335 and 345 are impacted by this change and have implemented new travel routing.
Please allow additional travel time and plan your daily commute accordingly. For the most up-to-date service information, please visit the MTA website at mta.maryland.gov.
On Wednesday, December 24, 2025 - Commuter Bus will operate the Modified Full-Service Schedule.
(See schedule below) *Please note that on all trips being doubled up, the 2nd bus will start its trip 5 minutes after the 1st buses regularly scheduled departure time.
• Routes 201 – No Change (regular service)
• Routes 203 – No Change (regular service)
• Routes 204 – No Change (regular service)
• Routes 210 and 215 – No Change (regular service)
• Route 220-Full Service-Trip 10 will not operate. Instead, two (2) buses will run Trip 8 (midday). Both buses will consolidate at Truman Park & Ride with one continuing to Kent Island. The second bus will depart Virginia Ave. & C St. @ 12:20 pm.
• Route 230-No Change (regular service)
• Route 240-No Change (regular service)
• Route 250- Full Service-Trip 11 will NOT operate. Instead, a special midday bus will depart North Capitol & H Sts. @ 1:15 pm.
• Route 260-No Change (regular service)
• Route 305-No Change (regular service)
• Route 310-No Change (regular service)
• Route 315-No Change (regular service)
• Route 320-No Change (regular service)
• Route 325-No Change (regular service)
• Route 335-Full Service-an extra bus will depart 19th & M Sts. & 1:15 pm
• Route 345-No Change (regular service)
• Route 410 –No Change (regular service)
• Route 411 –No Change (regular service)
• Route 420- Full Service-Midday Trip A will operate.
• Route 505-No Change (regular service)
• Route 515-No Change (regular service)
• Route 610-Full Service-Trip 18 will NOT operate. Instead, a bus will depart 11th & H Sts. at 12:45 pm, making all regularly scheduled stops.
• Route 620-Full Service- Trip 20 will NOT operate. Instead, two (2) buses will run trip 12 (midday), making all regularly scheduled stops including stops the three stops at National Harbor. The second bus will depart at 12:25.
• Route 630-Full Service-Trip 7 will NOT operate. Instead, a bus will depart L & 25th Sts. @ 1:00 pm, making all regularly scheduled stops including DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus.
• Route 640-No Change (regular service)
• Route 650-Full Service-Trip 13 will NOT operate. Instead, one bus will depart Virginia Ave. & C St. at 1:30 pm, making all regularly scheduled midday (Trip 8) stops including the three stops at National Harbor.
• Route 705- -Full Service-Trip 14 will NOT operate. Instead, one (1) bus will depart 11th & H Sts. @ 1:00 pm
• Route 715-No Change (regular service)
• Route 725-No Change (regular service)
• Route 735-No Change (regular service)
• Route 810-No Change (regular service)
• Route 820-Full Service-Trip 18 will NOT operate. Instead, two (2) buses will operate Trip 10 (midday). Both buses of Trip 10 will consolidate at Pindell, with one (1) continuing to North Beach. The second bus will depart C & 20th Sts. @ 112:20 pm.
• Route 830-Full Service-Trip 13 will NOT operate. Instead, a special midday bus will depart C & 20th Sts. @ 12:35 pm.
• Route 840-Full /Service-Trip 10 will NOT operate. Instead, two (2) buses will operate Trip 6 (midday). Both buses will consolidate at Prince Frederick Park & Ride, with one (1) bus continuing to St. Leonard. The second bus will depart C & 20th Sts. @ 12:10 pm.
• Route 850 –No Change (regular service)
Commer Bus service will Not operate on Thursday, December 25, 2025, except Route 201 will operate on Weekend/Holiday "S" Schedule.
On Friday, December 26-Commuter Bus will operate the "S" Schedule on all routes.
• Route 230 – Trip 5 will operate at the regular scheduled time
• Route 505 - Trip 6 will operate at the regular scheduled time
On Monday, December 29-December 30th- Commuter Bus will operate full service on all routes
On Wednesday, December 31-Commuter Bus will operate the "S" Schedule
On Thursday, January 1, 2026-Commuter Bus will Not operate, except Route 201 will operate the Weekend/Holiday "S" Schedule.
On Friday, January 2, 2026, Commuter Bus will operate the "S" schedule on all routes
• Route 230 – Trip 5 will operate at the regular scheduled time
• Route 505 - Trip 6 will operate at the regular scheduled time
On Monday, January 5, 2026, MTA Commuter Bus will resume Full/Regular Service on all routes.
