For alternative service to Manhattan:
Transfer at Midland Ave/Hylan Blvd from the S51 to an S79-SBS toward Bay Ridge. Or transfer at Lily Pond Ave/McLean Ave to an S53 toward Bay Ridge.
Transfer at 86 St from the S53 or S79-SBS to a Manhattan-bound [R] train.
For alternative service from Manhattan:
Take a Brooklyn-bound [R] train to 86 St.
Transfer at 86 St from the [R] train to an S53 toward Port Richmond or an S79-SBS toward the Staten Island Mall.
Transfer at McLean Ave/Lily Pond Ave from the S53 to the S51. Or transfer at Hylan Blvd/Midland Ave from the S79-SBS to the S51.
Travel tip: SIM1C , SIM3C , SIM4C , and SIM33C express bus service also operates between Staten Island and Manhattan. Enhanced service will run while the ferry is suspended. ($7.25 express bus fare applies.)
