Metra will offer extra service on the Metra Electric, Milwaukee District North, Union Pacific Northwest, and Union Pacific West lines for runners and spectators going to the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 11. All other lines with Sunday service will operate their regular Sunday schedules. Visit Metra.com/schedules for schedule information.
On Monday, October 5, the Milwaukee District North line will resume regularly scheduled operations to and from Fox Lake with the completion of the major track construction project. Visit Metra.com for schedule information.
MDN train #2131, scheduled to depart Chicago Union Station at 4:23 PM, will not operate due to earlier mechanical problems. Train #2135, scheduled to depart Chicago Union Station at 4:53 PM will accommodate passengers.
Platform construction will take place at the Morton Grove station beginning Monday, August 3 through Spring 2027. Please allow additional travel time and use caution near the work area during this time. Updates will be provided.
