Starting Monday, October 3, and continuing until further notice, University Avenue will be closed between Earl and Union to allow safe removal of debris from demolition of a nearby building. During this time, from the Downtown Transfer Point, Express Route 801 will detour via Bagot, West, King, Lower University, and Stuart, resuming regular route at Kingston General Hospital. The stop on University at Union will be out of service, and Express Route 801 buses will not service the stop on Brock at Barrie. Started Sep 29 2022
Route and schedule change - May 6, 2024 Started May 1 Until May 12 Effective Monday, May 6, to improve schedule reliability, Express Route 801/802 will only operate between the Montreal Street Park & Ride and the Downtown Transfer Point. If travelling to Queen’s or Kingston General Hospital, please transfer at the Downtown Transfer Point to Express Route 501 or 601, or to Route 1 St. Lawrence College, Route 2 Kingston Centre, or Route 18 Train Station.
