On Saturday, March 14, starting at 9:00 AM until approximately 1:00 PM, the Routes 1, 3 and 5 will go on detour due to the Norfolk Saint Patrick's Day Parade. Customers in the Ocean View/Granby area are advised to board/disembark near the Ocean View Ave Tinee Giant. Please be advised, even though buses are detouring around the parade route, heavy traffic is expected in the surrounding areas. Buses will be affected and expect delays. Please plan accordingly. Effective, January 8, 2026, due to traffic & safety concerns, the bus stop at Granby & Little Creek(0169) will no longer be serviced by Route 1. Route 1 passengers will need to board/disembark at Wards Corner Transfer Center. (0039).
Starting Monday, March 9, 2026, until further notice, the Ward's Corner Transfer Station will undergo construction on the island and in the bus bays. All buses will continue to drop off / pick up as normal. Buses will park nearby if their bay is not available. Customers should expect minor delays and disruptions.
