Lakeshore East – Some trips modified due to extreme heat Started Until Tue Aug 12 In extreme heat we perform several track patrols where we inspect the track to ensure the safety of your travel. We are performing these inspections today to keep you moving safely as Environment Canada has forecasted extreme heat and humidity. To allow equipment to perform these tests, the following trips have been modified: The Union Station 12:50 - Durham College Oshawa GO 13:52 train will end at Pickering GOThe Durham College Oshawa GO 14:09 - Union Station 15:12 will begin at Pickering GO For customers travelling east of Pickering, you can take a GO bus to Ajax GO, Whitby GO, and DC Oshawa GO. Heat warning in effect Started Sat Aug 9 Until Tue Aug 12 Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for most of the GTHA. With high temperatures expected, it’s important to stay cool and comfortable while travelling. To keep the temperature comfortable, the door on your train may be closed before departure. To open the train doors when they are in standby mode, press firmly on the door release button illuminated green or the rectangular black button beside the doors.While all trips are expected to depart on time, some trips on your line may arrive at their destinations up to 15 minutes later than originally scheduled.
