Due to building works and scaffolding in place, the bus stop on Whitworth Street/opposite Palace Theatre is closed.

Piccadilly Tram Stop - Escalator out of service Started (Updated )
The escalator to exit Piccadilly Metrolink stop to the city centre or mainline station is currently out of service. Please follow the signage for the lift from platform level to the mezzanine and mainline station.
Greater Manchester Run 2026 Starts Sat May 30 Until Sun May 31 (Updated Sun May 24 )
Liverpool Road will be closed on Saturday 30 May until 9pm Sunday 31 May for the setup of the race.

On Sunday 31 May, the Great Manchester Run will be held in Manchester City Centre. Several road closures will be implemented, which will cause disruption throughout the day. Diversions will be implemented from the first bus until the roads have been reopened in the early evening.
