Work to replace all five escalators at Burrard Station continues with 3 escalators now officially in service as of December 5th 2023. We thank you for your ongoing patience as we work to complete the last 2 remaining escalators Started Oct 31 2022 Given their age, replacement is critical to meet growing passenger volumes. The new, heavier-duty models will ensure safe and reliable operation for years to come.

Burrard Station will continue operating normally throughout construction, with partial escalator access still available. Customers should expect some congestion within the station, particularly at peak times.
Access to Royal Centre and Bentall Centre will not be affected during construction. Elevator access on all levels will also not be affected.

From December 18th 2023 until Fall 2025, TransLink is replacing 4 aging escalators at Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain Station to ensure safe and reliable transit operations for years to come. Started Dec 7 Construction will begin with the closure of escalators 1 and 2 from Concourse level to the Millennium Line platform beginning Monday Dec 18th 2023. While escalators 1 and 2 are under construction, alternate access is available via stairways and a nearby elevator.
As part of preparing for the replacement work, two faregates at the East Broadway Ave entrance(close to Shoppers Drug mart) will be removed from service for approximately 1 year beginning Thursday December 7th at 9:30am. There are additional faregates close by to provide uninterrupted station access during this time. There is an additional accessible faregate next to the closed ones during this phase.
There is no change to SkyTrain services during this time, however, customers may experience more crowding and congestion during this time. Please plan to give yourself an extra couple minutes within the station to access alternate faregates.

A Bus Bridge will operate between Bridgeport Station and Richmond-Brighouse Station to serve customers during the construction period as follows:
- Frequency up to every 10 minutes.
- Servicing each Richmond branch station (Bridgeport, Lansdowne, Aberdeen and Richmond-Brighouse).
- Departing from Bay 10 at Bridgeport Station and Bay 1 at Richmond-Brighouse Station.
-Regular service resumes on Saturday, May 25th.
