Amtrak is performing construction work between Halethorpe and West Baltimore stations. This work requires the track closest to the northbound platform at Halethorpe to be out of service. Amtrak has place temporary platform extenders at Halethorpe station which will be in place for the duration of the project.
If you are boarding a northbound train at Halethorpe, please wait for your train on the regular platform and do not enter the temporary platform extenders until after your train arrives and you are directed by a member of the train crew.
If you are exiting a northbound train at Halethorpe, not all doors will open. Please exit the train only where you see a uniformed MARC Train Conductor. These are the only sets of doors that will open. Listen carefully for announcements to determine where you need to be positioned in the train to exit.
Thank you for riding MARC Train.
Beginning Monday Beginning Monday, July 6, through Sunday, September 6, Metro train service will be suspended between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights. WMATA will provide both Express and Local Shuttle Bus service to connect customers between the affected stations.
If your commute includes transferring between MTA Commuter Bus service and the WMATA Red Line, please allow additional travel time, as delays may occur due to increased traffic and higher passenger volumes.
MTA Commuter Bus will continue to operate its regular schedule; however, customers should anticipate possible delays in the affected corridor due to increased roadway congestion.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this construction period.
Passengers are encouraged to periodically check the MTA website (Service Advisory) for the most up-to-date information.
