A project is underway at Halethorpe station to replace both sets of stairways from the parking lot and passenger platforms to the overhead pedestrian bridge. The stairways will be closed for approximately 8-9 weeks. Passenger access to the platforms will be as follows:
Southbound platform: Use the stairs or ramps at the south or north end of the platforms from the parking lot up to the platform
Northbound platform: Use the Francis Avenue bridge and stairs located north of the current station (at the site of the old station platform). Passengers should allow extra time to walk from the northbound platform to or from your vehicles.
The elevator and overhead bridge will remain available during this project, but passengers are requested to reserve the elevator for passenger who require it.
Halethorpe MARC passengers may park at the BWI Rail Station garage free of charge. In order to receive free parking at BWI Rail Station, you must exit through Garage 1 via the attendant's booth lane - DO NOT use one of the automated payment lanes. Show the attendant your MARC ticket displaying Halethorpe as origin and you will be permitted to exit at no cost. Federal employees currently traveling on MARC at no cost may show their federal ID's to the parking attendant for free parking.
Please observe all construction signage, especially do not enter signage and blocked off parking spaces near the ticket machines and station entrance. We thank you for your patience as we perform this necessary maintenance work.

The National Park Service is enforcing vehicle restrictions prohibiting motorcoaches from traveling northbound and southbound on I-295 to/from Route 175 and Washington, D.C.
Due to these restrictions, motorcoach carriers must instead use Route 50 or Route 201 (Kenilworth Avenue). Commuter Bus routes 335 and 345 are impacted by this change and have implemented new travel routing.
Please allow additional travel time and plan your daily commute accordingly. For the most up-to-date service information, please visit the MTA website at mta.maryland.gov.
