9pm to 4am each night, Monday 19 October to Thursday 22 October To improve the safety and efficiency of Melbourne’s metropolitan rail network, critical safety works will be undertaken along the Alamein Line. These critical safety works form part of Metro’s annual works program to maintain and renew the rail network. What to expect: medium to high level construction noise during the set up and use of the heavy machinery rail grinding works that will cause a short-term immediate increase in noise once completed, that will decrease over time increased noise, dust and local traffic in the works area or the rail corridor traffic management in place, as required. Every effort will be made to carry out these works with respect for our valued neighbours. Works may be subject to change due to weather conditions and operational requirements.

3am Monday 19 October to 5pm Monday 26 October The Trent Street car park will temporarily be closed for essential maintenance and renewal works to be completed. All other commuter and accessible parking remain open. Alternative parking is available at the Bardolph Street West car park at Burwood. For your safety, please observe any signage and instructions in place during this time.
5am Thursday 15 October to 11pm Friday 20 November Due to upgrade works at Southern Cross Station, the lift on Platforms 9 and 10 located on Collins Street end will be out of service. If you need lift access, please exit via the lift at the Bourke Street end.
