Construction work is underway at Oakville GO to enhance safety, accessibility and support more GO Transit service. Improvements and enhancements include platform work, a new pedestrian bridge, bus loop and parking lot improvements, and upgrades to the station building. Here’s what you need to know: - 100 parking spots in the south parking lot, and 100 parking spots in the northwest parking lot, are inaccessible to customers for equipment storage, as we prepare for construction work. Parking is still available in all lots and the parking garage. - Widening and extension construction has begun on the new, temporary platform and is expected to be completed in July 2026. All platforms remain open, with caution advised on Platform 2. - Please follow directional signage and use caution around construction areas. We've adjusted bus and train service across our network to better meet customer needs. We’ve added more weekday express trains between Kitchener GO and Union Station. Starting Saturday, May 2, 15-minute midday and evening weekend service returns on Lakeshore West and Lakeshore East. Before you GO, check your schedules here.

The width of the tunnel has been reduced until the end of May to support this work. Here’s what you need to know: - The pedestrian tunnel is available.- You can still access platforms 1, 3, and 4 from this tunnel.- Please follow directional signage and use caution when moving through construction areas.- Please spread down the platform and use the coaches at the east end of the train to help reduce congestion at the west end of the platforms.
